*WHY SENATOR RAFIU IBRAHIM ADEBAYO SHOULD BE RE-ELECTED AND CONSIDERED?*

Senator Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo Performance The Last Term  He Was At The Red Chambers Threatens Contenders In Kwara South.

With the turn of events in the political arena of Nigeria, performance is no doubt a yardstick for a one time senator to gain the trust of his or her people while seeking reelection.

One man whose reelection bid has been in the centre of every discussion is Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, *Bar./Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo* especially on his performance while he was serving his people  and why he deserves to be given another chance to continue with his good representation.

In Kwara South, what distinguishes the people of the zone, which majorly consists of Igbomina, Ibolo and Ekiti is their incontrovertible level of education, exposure and available resources. This confers a lot of advantage on the senatorial district that would not play second fiddle in the scheme of things. The level of the quality and uniqueness of the zone makes it imperative their representatives to be cautious because for Kwara South, it is either you perform to justify their confidence or be shown the way out.

*Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo* outshoned his predecessors and broken the jinx of little or no performance over the years while he was in power in the Red Chamber.

*Senator Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo Projects While In The Red Chambers in 2015-2019*

The legislator, despite chairing the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, used his influence to facilitate construction of Offa/Ojoku/Afon Road thereby linking Kwara South to Kwara Central. The Ojoku-born politician also constructed the following projects; Ora-Agbeku-Edidi Road in Ekiti LGA, erosion control and Ajasse-Igbonla-Agengbe-Agbamu Roads in Irepodun LGA and rehabilitation of Agbeku-Edidi Roads in Ekiti LGA.

As part of efforts to cushion effect of water problem, Sen. Rafiu also intervened in the reconstruction of Ojoku Water Works,  Oyun LGA as well as construction and completion of motorised boreholes with 3.5KVA generator at Erin-ile Market Oyun LGA, Ganmo Market Ifelodun LGA, Kara Cattle Market, Ajasse Ipo, Irepodun LGA, Edidi community, Edidi in Isin LGA, Onira Palace, Ira Oyun LGA and Chairman council of Oba’s Palace, Kwara state and many others.

His contribution also include installation of electrical poles for 23 communities in Offa and Oyun LGAs coupled with the provision and completion of the installation of 33KVA/500KVA transformer for Iloffa community in Oke-ero LGA, 33KVA/500KVA, Osi community in Ekiti LGA and Omu-Aran in

Irepodun LGA.

*Sen. Rafiu* is a person who believed so much in the education of his people also and he funded to completion the construction and renovation of *blocks of classrooms* in different schools within and outside his district in Kwara State.

Kwara South Senatorial District also witness unprecedented achievements in term of education with the help of the senator, with provision of scholarships to students of the district origin studying in foreign countries and in Nigerian higher institutions of learning, which include sponsorship of *Bello Emmanuel Temitope* for a standard flight operations course No. 21 at Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and provision of scholarship for the payment of pilot licence to an indigene of *Offa LGA, Khadijat Olabanke Adigun* at the International Aviation College, Ilorin, facilitation of entrepreneurship training for 200 youths as well as teachers retraining programme for human capacity development with the theme: *“Modern teaching practices and techniques”.*

*In conclusion,* with all I have said and stated above. I hope the good people of Kwara South will see no reason not to cast their vote for *Senator Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo* so that he can bring the dividends of democracy to Kwara South and Kwara State in general once again.

“And I believe that he possessed enough legislative capability and human relation capability among other candidates of other parties and he has the capability to win election for *PDP* without too much stress”, *...Ibrahim Wasiu Oluwatoyin* said.

No 4: 1000 Karakata Empowerment Hub annually - 7 Manifestos of Rafiu Ibrahim

*No 4: 1000 Karakata Empowerment Hub annually  - 7 Manifestos of Rafiu Ibrahim

Times are changing. The world is moving Digital. Most purchases are done digitally and deliveries are done to purchasers without seeing the seller. Most sellers are selling without having a shop.

It is therefore important to upgrade and move our constituents to trade in the 21st century.

Many graduates have certificates but do not have a direction of what to do with the certificates.

In our resolve to show our readiness, despite not having an office, we have shortlisted 350 Kwara Southerners for training in E - Commerce, Online trading, Digital trainings, Digital finance and would be empowered with N50,000, N100,000 and N250,000 and 70 POS machines, so that all participants can begin businesses immediatelyafter the trainingsand not return to the unemployment market.

Rafiu Ibrahim has vowed to increase the numbers to 1000 beneficiaries annually.

Imagine empowering 1000 unknown beneficiaries of people who do not know Sen Rafiu Ibrahim!

If it had been like this, how many people do you think would have been empowered by Now?

Prof Wale Sulaiman: The irony of an establishment boy whose loyalty is only to himself

Prof Wale Sulaiman: The irony of an establishment boy whose loyalty is only to himself

By

David Titiloye

General Sanni Abacha tried to transform overnight into a constitutional President of Nigeria, he went on to create the five leprosy political parties, and even went as far as wearing Agbada as a military man to get Nigerians used to his transition into a civilian President. Unfortunately, the coup from heaven thwarted that theatrical arrangement. However, one would beg to ask whether his transition would have made any difference to larger Nigerians? For all I know, Abacha was alone in that game and the larger Nigerians knew they were no fools. The Igbomina agenda of Prof. Wale Sulaiman is not very distant to the theatrical arrangement of Sanni Abacha, a desperate attempt to trick Kwara Southerners into voting for him, but our people are no fools, for Nigerians saw how far his loyalty to the country was.

Interestingly, loyalty which is considered as a premium trait in human interpersonal relationship is one of the easiest points of attack in political communications while ironically, disloyalty is a marketable product. Some will argue today that Abacha was one of the best humans to have been born in Nigeria, but was he ever loyal to the country? Did he have to wait until it was time to transition into a civilian government before showing Nigerians that he was a deserving leader? Prof. Wale Sulaiman was no where to be found in Kwara South until he started nursing his senatorial ambition. People only know PWS today for the money he throws around than his experience in administration or capacity to deliver.

As one in the field of political communications, the best way to brand a disloyal person is to describe him as one with an independent mind just like Abacha who had no loyalty to entities, friends and even his country. While being independent-minded is an admirable trait, one should be careful of any politician whose major selling point is being independent-minded, it is usually a covert way of telling you that he is loyal to nothing/no one but himself, if you are circumspect enough to check his history, you will find elements of disloyalty.

I must commend the work done by the brand strategist of Prof. Wale Sulaiman who found a way to package him as a political newbie who should be given a trial meanwhile he is the personification of an establishment boy who has always been around the corridors of power and also a beneficiary of political patronage, but his lack of loyalty to a single ideology,  philosophy or person has made him go unnoticed until he decided to run for senate. I challenge John Kenny and his attack squad to deny that PWS never enjoyed political patronage from Abubakar Bukola Saraki or if he didn't serve under Abdulfatai Ahmed before his recent fall out with Gov. Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman.

It is said that if you always have a problem with everyone, you should probably check yourself perhaps, you'll realize that you are the problem. Most importantly, politics requires working in difficult situations and creating a path where there is none. Governance requires finding solutions even when it appears like there are none. What assurance can Prof. Wale Sulaiman give Kwara Southerners having worked unsuccessfully with three successive administrations in Kwara State and deserted all of them?

One thing is consistent with PWS, he has a pattern of betrayal packaged as independent-mindedness and he is loyal to nothing but himself. He will use anything to achieve whatsoever he desires irrespective of how it affects others, even if it means inventing ethnic battles or exploiting long standing sentiments. In everything, he sees only interests and benefits.

I believe that is why his major claim to the senate is being an Igbomina, a narrative John Kenny heedlessly pushed again in his "Let's Try Prof. Wale Sulaiman Too" balderdash. The questions we Igbomina should ask PWS is did he just realize he is an Igbomina in 2022 when his senate ambition became more obvious or what has he done in the past to lay claim as an ethnic champion of the Igbominas?

My fellow Kwara Southerners should also ask him if he will only be a senator for the Igbomina or what will become of our unity if the Ibolo and Ekiti bloc unite over his continuous attempt to victimize Senator Rafiu Ibrahim as being from Ibolo bloc. PWS and his media team have made frantic efforts in mocking Kwara South mindlessly, while forgetting that the other parts of the state are paying attention to our politics. For the first time in our political history, someone is using ethnicity as his ticket for a legislative assignment, therefore, suggesting marginalisation tendencies from PWS.

The incessant personality attacks and pandering to divisive politics only proves that Senator Rafiu Ibrahim is head and shoulders above the other candidates. You can't question his competence because his track record speaks for itself.

You can't claim to be more knowledgeable than he is because his CV matches that of anyone. You can't claim to have a better character than him because never in all his years in public service has anyone ever accused him of being inaccessible or lacking empathy.

In America, Kelvin McCarthy wouldn't have emerged as the Speaker of United States House of Representatives without the support of former President Donald Trump. The Clintons who are Democrats have backed Obama, Hillary, Biden in their attempts to be President, same as the Bush who are Republicans, they backed Donald Trump and others. Therefore, criminalising political bond or branding it as loyalty to an individual is ridiculous. The evil of divisive politics shouldn't spread to Kwara Southerners, what they must consider and evaluate with is delivery when individuals had opportunity to represent us as a people.

Kwara Southerners must be wiser than this rhetoric of using Senator Rafiu Ibrahim's loyalty to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki as basis for why he shouldn't be elected. The question should be that, is his relationship with Saraki more beneficial or detrimental to us in Kwara South? Has it in any way affected his stewardship? While in the senate, did his relationship with Dr Bukola Saraki as Senate President not contribute in any way to the dividends of good representation he was able to facilitate to Kwara South?

The answer is clear, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim is a man to learn from and not despise.

No 3: The People's Assembly - 7 Manifestos of Sen Rafiu Ibrahim.

No 3: The People's Assembly - 7 Manifestos of Sen Rafiu Ibrahim.

RAFIU JOB BANK - 7 Manifestos of the PDP Kwara South Candidate

*7 Manifestos of of Rafiu Ibrahim: No 2 - *JOB BANK*)

The Primary responsibility of any lawmaker is lobbying for his constituents.

There are lots of unemployed young people in Kwara South who are graduates from one institution to the other.

It is sad that we find ourselves in this situation.

While I was Senator in 2015, I helped facilitate over 87 Federal institution jobs to Kwara Southerners. We have discovered it is just not enough.

We have resolved to have a *JOB BANK* where every young graduate will register to state his or her interest in needing a job, and a special team has been put in place to scout for the jobs and lobby them for our constituents.

The jobs would be allocated to job seekers in a transparent manner and without knowing anyone. Several jobseekers would be gainfully employed in sustainable Agencies of Government for the growth of our families and our region.

Rafiu Ibrahim Pledge towards Agriculture and Agri business for the people of Kwara South explained

Rafiu Ibrahim Pledge towards Agriculture and Agri business for the people of Kwara South explained

While unveiling my Manifestos at Omu Aran on 20th January, 2023, I affirmed that Agriculture would be one of our prime targets to empower the people of Kwara South massively.

*We promised at least 1000 farmers Annually.*

We will implement this in 2 phases.

*1. We would deploy the Federal Government Agencies and invest in Mechanized Farming, where *4 communities in each Local Government would have 100 hectares of land each cleared by our intervention for them to cultivate their crops.*

*The lands would be given to each participant at 1 hectares per farmer.*

*Our relevant Government Agencies would be responsible for tested and certified seedlings, inputs, fertilizers and so on. All that is required of each farmer is monitoring.*

*At the end of the farming season, we would be facilitating an easy - buying procedure that guarantees profits.* and this would promote Agri business as several young people and existing farmers would be gainfully employed and empowered.

*Secondly, we would Annually be giving out Sprayers, seedlings, Herbicides and pesticides for the use of our subsistence farmers.*

We will be registering farmers' groups around Kwara South and this obviously would ensure not just Food Security, but would make a lot of millionaires from the farm from 2023.
