ITESIWAJU IREPODUN CAPTAIN DECLARES
By Abdullateef Abiodun
Baring any change in plans, the Itesiwaju Irepodun Captain; Barrister Joseph Titilope Akogun (BTA) is set to declare at his IFAJA ward, in Omu aran on Friday 7th September, 2018.
The people of Irepodun Local Government have in time past been agitating for a leader who understands what it means to represent them.
Until the entry of Barrister Akogun into the Irepodun Constituency race, the people were almost giving up.
Years have past, things have remained unchanged positively.
The people of Irepodun have groaned in pains for years as their banks remained shut down, their voices are not heard, as they do not even recognize their representative let alone see the representation they've been yearning for.
A representation that truly cares and carry them along in decision making.
How can you represent people you have refused to dialogue with in years.
But the 4 cardinal ideological campaign of this Omu aran born lawyer is really changing the tide of things in Irepodun Local Government.
After his declaration at the Olomu way of the Party Secretariat by 3pm on Friday, 7th September, Barrister Akogun would be featured on Royal FM on Saturday, and his tour of all the 11 wards of Irepodun Local Government commences.
All things being equal, we are set to witness a new type of politics and governance that transcends the rhetorics of the past.
It is a new dawn in Irepodun Local Government.
It's Time For BIG IDEAS!
The Hero is Here.
Barrister Joseph Titilope Akogun. (BTA).

The Young Political Activist, and Former Public Relations’ Officer of the Students’ Union, Unilorin is known for his innovative ideas, activism and superlative performance while in any public office. His sojourn in his University politics, spurred him to champion the staging of the First Ever Students’ Leadership Summit and launching of the Students’ Union maiden Edition Journal themed “Challenges facing the youths in the 21st Century”, which had become an annual event till date in the Better by far University. This was towards inspiring the students of the University that “there is hope for the upcoming generation” especially after graduation from School.
Akogun in his activism spirit thereafter floated Tanke Community Students’ Association (TACOSA), which was a communication bridge between the Tanke Indigenes, Tanke Student Residents, the Students’ Union and the Kwara State Government.
TACOSA under Akogun’s Chairmanship was accustomed to engaging itself in Community development services like repairing damaged roads on Tanke axis, supported by other Students and some Tanke indigenes, burning heaps of refuse which received the commendation of the majority in his community, and gave the association a wider reach.
The activities of TACOSA later led to the intervention of the Kwara State Governor, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed, towards releasing Five (5) new transformers to Tanke community and the ABS Constituency Project, towards approving the rehabilitation of Tanke Oke Odo community road which had in time past being a nightmare to motorists.
His list of community services are endless, as the young Akogun was honoured as the “Most Innovative Executive of the Year” by the Students’ Union, University of Ilorin in 2013.
Young Akogun had through his BTA Foundation, saw the need to prioritize eradication of poverty with special focus on rural areas, this he has been able to actualise to wide acclaim through the initiation of a soft loan scheme for small scale business owners through his Compound Support Scheme (CSS), encouraging bright and indigent students, through his Outstanding Students’ Scholarship Scheme (OSS) and most especially facilitating access to Agricultural loans to farmers in conjuction with Federal Government Agencies, under the umbrella of Barrister Titilope Akogun (BTA) Foundation.
He has taken up the challenge of ensuring quality representation for the good people of Irepodun which will help militate against the serial sidelining of the local government which have sadly been our lot in recent times.
With Akogun's experience as a good governance advocate, a legal practitioner par excellence, a multi-linguist who speaks Baruba fluently, he is best position to quench Irepodun's long thirst for quality, responsive and responsible representation at the Kwara State House of Assembly, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
The Young legal practitioner speaks English, ibaruba, igboona and Yoruba respectfully.
