Keep Showing Leadership; KWAYORG Charges Governor AbdulRazaq Abdulrahaman

Keep Showing Leadership; KWAYORG Charges Governor AbdulRazaq Abdulrahaman

The attention of Kwara South Youth Development Organization(KWAYORG) has been drawn to Governor Abdurahaman's laudable visit to the National Museum and Government Technical College, in Esie, General Hospital in Oro and Igbomina mobile clinic in Irepodun Local Government of the State today.

The historical  antecedents of the artistic and cultural sights of the museum gives us a convinction that if given the necessary attention, with a proper maintenance culture, could become in no distant time, our "Dubai in Nigeria".

We believe in your leadership that it will not stop with just a visit, but the fact that you would surpass our expectations on the Museum being a widely traveled Governor with an unrivaled  experience of the unprecedented benefits of tourism.

The interest in re - assessing for revival, the long neglected Technical College is also a reflection of your Roadmap for Kwara South.

The Technical College is an abode for training and acquisition of skills for thousands of Kwarans and beyond, especially now that all over the world, there is prioritization of skills to educational certificates.

Your Excellency, we are so proud and elated you have started well in Kwara South with this on the spot assessment of the Museum, the Government Technical College, and also the worrisome status of the health facilities in Oro General Hospital, which we believe would receive the necessary attention in due time.

Assessing and proffering solutions to our health issues in Kwara South have recently been championed by mobile clinics. This intervention which is highly commendable isn't sustainable.

We believe His Excellency's visit today  is a right step in the right direction in Kwara South.

We naturally believe that in no distant time, you would further raise the bar of Governance, especially on our Schools, General Hospitals and Community roads, including the completion of Oke Oyan bridge that connects Oro Ago and Ilala bridge in Ifelodun local Government, rehabilitation of owufall road for every Kwara Southerner to be further proud of your Leadership in the state.

Independence message: Embrace Diversification, don't be idle; Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG) encourages Youth*

*Independence message: Embrace Diversification, don't be idle; Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG) encourages Youth*

Today is a day of reflection on the freedom, rising and development of our dear region, state and Nation.

59 years of great strides with unmatched or commensurate developmental achievements.

Kwara South is indeed blessed.

We are hardworking men, very industrious and business oriented.

We do not believe in the concept of Impossibility when given an avenue or opportunity to showcase the diversity and richness of both our culture, business opportunities and willingness to keep growing.

 Arise Oh Compatriots!

Our zeal must never die!

Our commitments must never wither.

Our developmental ideology and spirit must never be dampened.

As youth, we must be ready to open ourselves to new opportunities, learn practical skills that would put food on our table.

We must shun all sort of violence tendencies and be ready to grow as 21st Century Youth.

Those who are educated with degrees should not only depend on such degrees when without jobs to wallow in poverty.

Let us diversify!

We have an arable land, blessed with good atmospheric weather that would suit agriculture.

Let's go into commercial farming to reduce poverty to the nearest minimal.

Those who have handworks should embrace rebranding and packaging.

No one would teach us fully how to become millionaires practically but ourselves.

Let's be industrious and always look out for how we can change our lives personally, our families and our region as a whole and not just What Government has for us.

We would wait endlessly if we remain in this believe of the past.

We should assess ourselves monthly or quarterly and ask how far we have improved on ourselves and how far we have achieved quarterly in a year.

You are the only limitation to your success and no one else.

The greatest Independence to celebrate as Kwara South Youth, is to have Independence from the shackles of poverty, insecurity and infrastructure decadence.

We can, if  only we believe, intensify our efforts on what we are doing correctly presently, or we start doing something meaningful.

Poverty is never an option!

Happy Independence my dear Kwara South Youth!

Meet you at the Conference on 19th December.

God bless Kwara South!
God bless Kwara State!
God bless Nigeria.

Signed:

*Barrister Titilope Akogun*
*Lead Convener, KWAYORG.*
